Looking at getting an in-dash nav for my 2011 MZ3. Not looking to spend a ton (read >$1000).

I would like nav, bt, and all your other standard features. I wouldn't mind the option of inputting a backup camera as well. I have no interest in a tv receiver. I would also prefer the screen built in dash rather than a fold out. So it'll have to be double-din.

I've been looking at a couple options and my favorite so far is this one:
http://www.smartauto24.com/2011-mazda-3-indash-gps-dvd-navigation-aftermarket-head-unit $499.99 plus $25 for the preloaded 4gb SD for nav and I could add in a backup camera for $25 or $60 with nightvision. Looks like shipping is $90 though.
Any reviews or thoughts on this company. I like it because it's very clean and would fit with my 3's dash.

Also looking at this Jenson:
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_110VM94....html?tp=20212

Seems to be a fairly decent price and Best Buy keeps it in stock for the same price. The local Fry's has the non BT variant for $50 less in stock.

Thoughts or suggestions? Also if I went with a unit without built in BT how much is a BT attatchment dongle? And I would like to keep my steering wheel controls if possible. I realize I'll likely need an adaptor.

Looking to spend under $700 for unit and install, or $700-750 if I do it myself. The less the better. So closer to $500 is much nicer...then I could spend a little on upgrading the speakers.

On that note whats a general speaker, amp, sub go for? Never spec'd one out and don't know what to look for.

I'm on the stock 6 speaker setup if it matters.

Thanks

Aren't you worried that the 1st link is some weird non-brand carputer thing slapped into a frame that fits the hole in your dashboard? It runs WindowsCE (probably on an ARM CPU) ... I wonder if there are any hacker communities that develop for these.

On the bright side, they list "navigation while listen to music at the same time" as a feature!

I have a Pioneer Avic F700BT. I would recommend this line - mine is discontinued, but there are newer 700 and 900 series models. Nav, radio, BT and iPod/USB/SDCard support. You can add a satellite radio module and rear view cam if you want those.

Get integrated BT if you want BT. Don't use a dongle. For me, its worth it.

Yeah not going with the unit from the first link.

Looking at a Sony unit at a Sony 660bt on sale for 699 right now at a local shop. Best buy has a couple options and they are the same price as crutchfield so I may just buy local. Other one I'm looking at is a pioneer that's 749.

Sjwaste: I think that's the pioneer I was looking at. How do you like it? Looks pretty solid
