Parents, first 2 years. (No choice really) Living in a flat $400/month super small studio now. Share bathroom with 3 other dudes right next to my place. It's alright. I use the thing more than anyone else.

I'll probably be moving back in with the parents for the summer since in order to even be a fucking bus boy I have to have 2+ years of experience. Sucks because I love my studio and how good of a location it is.

So, you?

First two years, dormed with a good friend from high school. Last two years, roomed with 4 best friends from college in an off-campus two-bedroom apt.

Now, own a house in the city.

Started college living at home with my mom and step-dad. Got kicked out junior year. Moved in with an old coworker for a year, then my aunt for a while, then my Gramma for a while.

Now I have my own house that is much nicer than my parent's.

Damn son. You got it a 400sqft? I'm living in a 15x12 with a small hallway for a kitchen.

It might have been smaller, actually it probably was. I don't remember the exact number, just remember it was tiny.

College: Dorm first year, shared a room for two years after that, had my own 12x12 room in a 3 bedroom 1000 sqft apt with my own bathroom, that was nice.

Now: Living at home with the rents to save money rather than piss away 800 a month for rent. Moving across the country in a few months.

College was first 2 years at home, 3rd was in a small apartment (600 sq ft), 4th was in a town house (1000 sq ft) with my now ex-wife. Was lucky to make 15k a year, but paid for pretty much everything, including school, for the last 2 yeas.

Currently have a 2800 sq/ft home, quiet, non-smelliy neighbors, with garage, in a nice neighborhood and with my gf. Make 10x what I made then and share most of the bills with my girlfriend. The exceptions are my car, gas and any personal things like XM and memberships.

1st year dorm. (2001)
2nd year 4bd rm apt with 3 roommates.
3rd year different 4bd rm apt with 2 roommates.
4th year 2bd apt by myself.

Now 2 bd rm condo by myself.

The only time I was back at home was the summer between the 1st and 2nd years. Dorms were closed and new leases didn't start until August.

Honestly the worst living situation was the 2nd year. I had known two of the guys forever but the 3rd guy was a complete unknown and kinda creepy. We rented another place without him the next year.

1st year, dorm
2nd year, dorm for 6 months, small house with 3 other guys
3rd year, still in house with same 3 guys
4th year, got married, got 900 sq ft apartment.

Now, (3 years later) I've got a smallish house of my own with a decent sized yard and a pool that I plan to turn into a rental in a few years when my wife and I want something bigger.

1st: fairly big single apt, like 900sq ff but a bug problem
2nd: 2br with a friend
3-4th: small 1br, maybe 500sq ft..maybe.

I've been sort of downsizing each year, but looking to try and move into something bigger and nicer. Only reason I'm where I am is for the location.
