In Cincy, when we get a DUI

After the 3rd DUI why do we let him live?

How can you stop him?

Only way would be to install one of those breathalizer things in his car I suppose.

I was discussing DUIs with my hommie last night. The percentage of people that get caught driving under the influence is very small (something like 1%). To get as many DUIs as this guy you either live in a small town or you do it so often (like daily) that eventually you can't escape the small percentage.

So your wife/mom/sister/friend buys a new car...

Ya, I almost put that in my post. I'm sure he'd find another car to drive.

Lock him up. He's repeatedly committing the same crime, why shouldn't he be in jail to protect the greater good?

Treatment would be better, but the system doesn't work that way. As it is, most jails are too overcrowded to worry about non-violent/non-drug related offenders.

He probably hasn't caused a single accident.

No, you get your wife/mom/sister/friend to blow for you.

They are sending him to jail for 180 days according to the article. He is also getting slapped with a $1000 fine, 3 year licenses suspension, and some alcohol treatment course thing.

So you both kind of get what you want out of this.

That's true since his .10 or whatever you blew before is probably equivalent to us without alcohol in our system.
