do in car navigation systems take addresses via voice commands? I know many products will read directions to you.

TomTom doesn't; I know that much for sure.
I doubt any of them do, as it'd need some serious CPU muscle to perform voice recognition. Remember that most PDAs have 400-600Mhz low-power CPUs.

that's certainly true, maybe having a processing server?

I know of no units that do this. In fact, given the noise found in a typical car at highway speeds, this would be very tricky...

you could have it set up so you press a button to start voice commands like voice dialing on a phone.

yes - acura RL and honda Ody does this. not perfect but it works.

honda navi > *

acura and honda navigation systems are the same, and i know for a fact that acura's navi system has voice command, so therefore I'm assuming honda's systems have voice command has well. Whether or not they let you input addresses i'm not sure

You could also put your own together. Most GPS software has voice option..........

even multi-language support?

Was going to say, I know Honda/Acura Nav systems have it. You press a button and talk, its not perfect but it works decently.
