If 98% of our country was frozen solid half the year we'd legalize marajuana too. Would give people something else to do while cooped up in their houses besides post on message boards fooling themselves about how much they love where they live.

Not that taking medical care into your own hands is a bad thing. LOL.

Yeah well... just you wait. We've got fat American tourists stationed around your tank. While one operative asks the local RCMP what state that they currently are in another operative will slip sugar into the gas tank. So take that!

Educate yourself.

Also, as a side note. You think a raise means people were not paid enough? Therefore Union Auto workers in detroit were not paid enough according to all the raises they want. Doctors are restricted in both countries btw.

What the one comment about doctors leaving did not mention, is it includes doctors engaged in research as part of the number of doctors leaving, not practicing doctors. Providing Health care does not include research.

Again, this is why Academia does not allow Wiki as a source (though the sources Wiki is used by can be used as a source).

You provided NOTHING to rebuttle my argument of what your own countryman and published articles have published. Yet you just want to say everyone is lying and quacks.

Please provide something that contradicts what I've provided, instead of using the ol' "that's not true". You're obviously a fool and one of those "quacks" you seem to know a lot about.

Again, I provide proof, all you do is lie.

EDUCATE YOURSELF.

Here you go silly canuck - this is from the SAME publication that the OP linked for his report.

"Five million Canadians are currently without a family doctor-and things are only getting worse"

Canada?s doctor-patient ratio is among the worst of any industrialized nation: with just 2.2 physicians per thousand people, it ranks 24th out of 28 OECD countries (well below the average of three). And among the G8 countries, Canada ranks dead last when it comes to physician supply. "

"Canada?s medical system is radically different from ours, but there?s at least one thing we have in common: a shortage of primary care doctors.

Now comes word from up north that a few overwhelmed primary care docs are using lotteries to kick patients out of their practices, while others are drawing names to choose new patients"[/b]

OTTAWA -- A significant number of Canadian doctors plan to cut back on their hours or stop working completely over the next two years, according to a new survey of nearly 20,000 Canadian physicians.

The survey appears to back warnings of a worsening doctor shortage: more than 4,000 physicians plan to stop practising within the next two years, the data suggest.

HAHAHAH, RichardE doesn't even have the balls to post here. I provided plenty of evidence to support what I've been told by actual ADULTS who are Canadian or live in Canada.

This kid sends me a PM saying "Its ok Like, enjoy your bottoming dollar, right wing Christian rulers and soon to be theocracy and don't forget the Chapter 13 after getting sick "

HAHAH this kid then says he's "going to medschool next year so he knows more first hand". Subsequently, you have provided NO PROOF to the contrary of my argument that Canadian social healthcare is lacking medical professionals in the field. I provided further proof of the wait period for family practitioners. But hey, this moron is going to school next year, he's a genius!!!!!!!!

Seriously, you're like that idiot CasioTech. People prove him wrong and all he says is about how great and right he is.

Way to go kid. Enjoy sucking on your mama's tit for a few more years before you grow up, move out of their basement and become part of the real world.

I'll admit, we do have a lack of doctors. But I pay my health care in my taxes, and I don't have to run around with insurance bullshit if I break my arm or nose. I'd rather have the freedom of knowing that I can travel my country and not worry about if my med coverage reached out to BC or New Brunswick before going.

Canadians pay tax for public services including health care. American pay tax for bailing out retards and their works. If you happened to be that retard, U.S is the best country, if not, sucks to be you.

Oh yeah, social healthcare has it's benefits. It's great for everyday use and as you said, you don't have to worry about coverage. The problem is there are good things about our healthcare also. There needs to really be some sort of happy medium between the two.

We don't have to worry about where we go if we choose a PPO. The HMO is the insurance where you have to go to a specific doctor or hospital - called a network. With a PPO, you do not have a network provider, you choose who and where you go to. The problem though is that nothing is regulated and can cost a insane amount of money for something very basic. Of course, insurance picks up the tab, but a lot of people do not have quality insurance and they foot a good part of bill.

Both our Healthcare systems suck, compared to France's.

We also have fewer Jesus freaks and our women kick ass! We rock!:D

My mom lives in Canada and I think it's awesome. The only thing that sucks about it is not being able to buy practically anything online. I want to move there in the next 5-10 years while America flushes itself down the toilet. Also, according to "Stuff White People Like" blog, that (threatening to move to Canada) makes me white.

LOL, this thread is hilarious.

It shows just how true the article is. We Americans have incredible amounts of pride. It's dripping from every orifice, and freely glistens on our skin.

I've always been attracted to Canada. I need to visit, see what it's like first hand. I can imagine myself living there.

Honestly? It's a lot like the states. Toronto is like a smaller version of a big U.S. city. The people are nice and they seem to have the same values and morals as Americans overall. I could see it being a nice place to live and not much different than what you're used to now.

The taxes are higher, but obviously you're paying for the healthcare and other things. I'm not sure if I want to live around that much snow though. They have short summers and it's stays cold longer.

I haven't seen snow here in about 2 years IIRC and when we do get it, it doesn't last very long at all.

East of the Rockies, sure, you get a lot more snow and longer winters, but I'm pretty sure the same can be said for the Northern US States.

Avoid Toronto and you'll like Canada plenty :)
