That's about it. But, i have a twist. I took my permit test (written, too) and i passed it. Does this mean that i don't have to take the written test as an 18 year old? Or will i have to take the written test again?
In california, when you want to get your drivers license, must you take a written test BEFORE you take the driving test?

permit test is different than license test. you have to take both the written & driving license tests.
Darn, i'll have to brush up on it then. Aye, so i need to schedule two different days to take the written and driving? Or can i schedule the driving, and just go earlier to take the written?

in NY you have to take a written test alont with a 5 hour corse before you can take your road test

Eh...I got screwed the first time I had my driving test.
I looked both ways and made a right turn, making sure there was no traffic and I could...and all of the sudden the guy tells me to stop in the freakin middle of the road and said I didn't look both ways. Automatic failure because of safety. WTF?! :|
That's not dangerous. Dangerous was when my friend took the driving test and failed...and on the way back ran past a bunch of red lights because he was pissed.

The permit test is the written test. You can't get behind the wheel of a car without having taken the written test, period. After taking the written test it is good for a year and you may take the behind the wheel test 3 times. After 3 failures you have to take the written again.
I hope i won't get an asshole. Here is what i was thinking. In addition to exaggerated checking, could you orally announce what you're doing? Just so that they know what you're doing, even if you're kinda half-ass at showing them. Would that work?

And they enjoy failing you on the road test if you're a teenage male. I failed the first time because the guy doing it was sadistic. I loath that man...
took my about 6 years ago.As someone else said u have to drive percect once.Afer that u can drive legaly but not perfect.Make sure u move your head.The person needs to see that u are scanning to the road as u are driving.Guess in their mind u can't scan it if u don't move your head.Make sure u have 2 hand on the whell.Again they feel u can't drive with one hadn plus the law says u can't.So relax and do it good enough to pass and afer that u can forget of driving perfectly. I don't even drive perfectly when black and white is behind me.Usually still going about 3-5 mph over speed limit.

little of topic.Let just say that when u driving in los angeles during rain everyone don't belong to be on the road
You wont get a provisional license when you are 18. You will need to schedual 2 different dates.
