In California, howlong before u can get ur licence after u get a permit?

6 months after a valid permit to get a provisional license.

A provisional license allows you to drive alone but not with anyone else, as you have to wait another 6 months to do that.

You have to be 16 and hold the permit for atleast 6 months.

HAHAHA yes. I was among the first people that had to follow the new rules. I was born about 3 months too late or something.

But in hindsight I think it's a great law.
