Each gun was found in a plastic bag or a handkerchief, with no traces of the suspect’s fingerprints. Prosecutors and the police did not mention a confidential informer until months after the arrests. None of the informers have come forward, even when defense lawyers and judges have requested they appear in court.

Mr. Hooper spent a year in jail awaiting trial, eventually pleading guilty and agreeing to a sentence of time served after the judge in his case called the police version of events “incredible.”

Isolated incidents, I'm sure!

He should have known better than to be black standing around in public, I mean really who does he think he is? Virtually all cops are super awesome honorable people. Pay them some respect and call them sir and officer, give a little handy if they ask, and you'll have no problems at all.

Still think there are no systemic problems at the NYPD? These fine officers have a local landmark to sell you.

This is why exculpatory evidence and other relevant facts and should be required to be given when there's a grand jury.

Just a couple bad apples.

Tell ya what, when you reach threads on this forum surpassing 0.1% of sworn officers in the U.S. you're angry about, let's talk. Doesn't seem unreasonable for you to highlight that less than 99.9% of cops are good cops given that this is such a massive problem in this country.

It doesn't matter how many of the cops are good.

If they know about the shit that goes on it makes them as bad as the rest.

Is not conspiracy to commit crimes a felony?

That only happens when LEO is in front of the grand jury. These guys were just regular joes.

You know it would have been more useful for those who had problems with how the GJ worked in the Wilson didn't complain so much about him but that others had the same as standard procedure. The curious thing is they didn't care about people like those in the OP. Rather they wanted a pound of flesh above all.

I'll tell this story again.

In old Russia there were two farmers. One was blessed by fair weather, good soil, healthy livestock, everything well well, but the thing he prized was his cow, which gave the most and best milk in all the land.

Next to him was another farmer who through no fault of his own had the worse luck. Rain would pass right around him. His land was barren and his animals scraggly. He had a miserable existence, so much so that God sent an angel to grant the poor man one wish.

The angel expected the farmer to wish for the same good luck his neighbor had, but after a few moments the farmer made this wish- "Kill my neighbors cow".

I expect you see the point.
