This is the first time leaving the EST, and let me say I'm thrilled. I've been here since Sunday morning and had a chance to drive some scenic byways. The scenery here is some of the most beautiful I've ever seen. I've taken pictures for my wife to see but it's just not the same! The fresh mountain air, low humidity, and sheer beauty makes me want to pack up the wife and kid and move out here. My doctors have always told me to leave the humid environment anyways due to health issues, same goes for my younger bro. It just might happen eventually if I can get a job out here :D

The only issue I'm having is waking up at 3am! I'm usually up between 5-6am, so it makes sense..

Colorado was declared to be the healthiest state this past year.

But you can go out and take a nice uninterrupted walk at 3AM and inhale the fresh air.

The only place even comparable in Mass is out in the Berkshires.

LS21: only staying until friday night, then I fly home. I'll keep that in mind for my next trip here (if there is one) and maybe I can get to SW CO if I take an extra travel day

Common: Got that right, Berkshires are beautiful...especially in the fall.

Thanks for replies :)

Unless you fly, Durango will cost you a day's drive to get back and forth - but the drive will be worth it.
