In addition to everything else, religion is another reason healthcare should NOT be tied to employers.

I guess I'm not sure what you mean. Are you saying that the employer wants to cut $15 a month from their plans so they're going to justify it by using religion instead of just altering their plans in another way to make them cheaper? Insurance providers WANT women on birth control. It costs them almost nothing to supply basic contraception compared to the thousands it costs for a pregnancy from start to finish. Even a IUD implant at $750 is good for 5 to 10 years of no babies.

Viagra is the opposite of a contraceptive =]

Not referring at all to the minutiae of the issue but the general sense of what shenanigans (in this case religion) businesses will exploit to maximize profits.

My apologies to you for not making that point clearer in my previous postings.

And employees should be free to accept or reject that compensation as they see fit, including the right to collectivize that decision every bit as much as the employer does.

Care to elaborate on what compensation you're referring to? The first part of your statement happens to every employee during the interview and hiring process.

Your question was already answered in the 2nd part of my statement that you quoted.

It wasn't. Your second statement only states you want employees to be able to collectively bargain for the compensation you're referring to. You still haven't elaborated on what exactly that is. You could just be talking about insurance or you could be referring to everything down to scheduled work hours. I was simply curious what "compensation" meant.

Employers should be free to provide or not provide whatever compensation they wish.
Of course then we can compete with China on equal footing on labor costs, let's equalize the environmental rules also and then we can finally bring all those jobs back and make America Great Again while the job creator owners still rake in their profits.

Health care shouldn’t be tied to ones employer because it isn’t good for the general welfare of the people.

It doesn’t allow for easy job mobility, it obfuscates actual compensation and it does nothing to lower health care costs and as in this case it puts the employer between the patient and the doctor. It’s also super costly to businesses.
All of this.
