For the purpose of this discussion, lets assume dumber means she's not as smart as Girl #1, but not so dumb that you can't carry on a conversation with her without getting annoyed; she's smart enough to get by but won't be winning any nobel prizes or CEO of a company anytime soon.
 
Smarter and independant - dumber and submissive are qualities that I'd expect to find in someone who has an overbolsted ego - they objectify women.

If it isn't serious or is a one time thing, I'm really not concerned about the conversation quality. 😛
 
Why only those two choices? My wife is incredibly smart, and very independent, yet at the same time dotes on me nonstop.

If I had to choose though, I'd go for option #1.
 
I'm in a relationship where she seems smart, but she really isn't and really bores me. I need a companion that challenges me.
And who the F cares about the sex anyway?
 
I have a dumb, independant gf. :|

edit: don't tell her I said that though. I love her very much and things are getting better.

the choices in this thread are too close to call for me. i like talking "technical" stuff with my buddies, but human and emotional things with the ladies. which require different kinds of intelligence.
