Honestly, I don't think it matters who we vote for anymore. Both parties spend money like crazy, erode our personal liberties, are rife with corruption, interfere with international affairs where they aren't wanted, and do what's best for their friends and themselves over their constituents and country.

I get this. The most upsetting thing is the truth of it, and knowledge Obummer is better than McCain by leaps and bounds and that Romney was only a slightly different caricature of the crap we see representing conservatives in politics.

Well said, but it's our own damned fault. One of the debates (forget which election cycle) a mother described her family as middle class with a mid-70K income and asked a question "What are you going to do for us?" Given that government has nothing it does not first take from someone else and her family makes roughly 150% median income, you'd think she'd be laughed out of the building, but both candidates and the media treated her question very seriously.

Whichever party is in power at the moment is guaranteed to be better than the next. We make them this way.
