A month later and I bought yet another card. The Sapphire was DOA (first time I have ever gotten a new DOA component) so I sat and waited for the Toxic to come back in stock ...
.. and waited ....
.. and waited ...
.. and waited ...
.. and called Newegg to find out WTF was up ...
.. and waited one last week.
Still no stock, so I gave up and picked up a Zotax GTX580 card for $400 FS. With my build, I felt the GPU was the weakest link and the first thing I would upgrade anyhow, so buying a bit ahead on a GPU may allow me to get another year out of the build. Try as I might, it was once again not in the cards (bad pun) for me to switch to AMD.
