In 15 hours, I'll be bass fishing... (Update)

Mmm, sweet Memorial Day weekend. I used to live on Caddo Lake north of Shreveport, LA (Up in the Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas corner).

I'm planning on using shiners and I bought some plastic worms and a spinner bait.

Edit: In case you've never been outside, here's a pic.

Ok, the weather was terrible and my dad got sick. We spent about 20 minutes fishing from the pier, but since the water was so low, even a good cast would only get you into about 2ft of water.

Here is a pic though.

 

i was hoping to go on monday......but the wife got this bright idea for a family picnic

now i gotta convince her to have the picnic near water (and then i gotta get my license)

my real fishin hole is 2 hours a way - two years ago i pulled a 7.5 pounder out of it

AFAIK, there aren't any good bass fishing holes around here (near New Orleans). I used to live up there on the lake, and it's *awesome* for bass.

Us powerboat owners like to laugh at those guys... like they need to "catch up" with the fish or something...

It'll probably be from a pier or a pirogue.

I try to stay off the lakes on Memorial Day weekend!
Caddo is a beautiful lake!
Last time I was there I caught a MESS of crappie, right there in Devil's Elbow.

There will be more people there, but I know some spots. I fished everyday there for 3 years.

Caddo is awesome. If I had money, I'd buy a house up there.

It's a different part of the lake.

On the part that we had easy access to, the wind was way too heavy for good fishing.

It was 12 hours of driving for 30 minutes of fishing and my dad being sick all night.



We got to see some people from our church though, and maybe I'll stop having dreams about the place.
