Skyrim is -still- the top seller at Steam. It would get knocked down a few places whenever there is a sale but will go back right up once its over.
Anyways. You can save a bit of money by buying it off Impulse until Monday.
Personally I will wait for a price to drop a little bit more, knowing that the game would get better and better due to mods.
The also have 50% off Fallout 3 making it 10 bucks. Not that good because its not the game of the year version.

The last time I used impulse, you actually have to use a custom client to run their games. Dunno about Steamworks games, probably not.
