Impulse buy - desktop board with msata. Need suggestions

I needed a new 1155 board, and I got this:

My main computer is a core i7 laptop. But this is going to serve as a file server and office desktop (still deciding on the ratio of use - I want to run Linux Mint but keep leaning back to Windows function as well, and it doesn't make much sense to dual boot a file server).

To the point - I have a nice Crucial 32 gb msata drive from when I replaced it in my laptop for a larger SSD. I could use it as the OS drive and would need to make sure to keep it lean...or I could leave in the 64gb M4 SSD, and maybe use the msata coupled with a larger drive with Intel SRT? My main goal in terms of performance is fast throughput, though, and I would expect than an SRT setup would be an "in between platter and SSD performance" solution with little benefit to large file transfer. Whatever the configuration, I will have some combination of larger drives for storage.

My options:

1. Msata SSD (32gb) as OS. Use 64gb SSD in other system
2. 2.5" SSD (64gb) as OS. (use 32gb msata in SRT with larger platter drive?)
3. Msata SSD in SRT with Platter drive as OS.

Other ideas or thoughts?
