Improving Canon G3 Zoom?

I am looking into buying a G3 I would like to know how I can improve upon the 4x optical zoom. I am new when it comes to adding lenses and accessories like such to a digital camera so any help I can get is appreciated. I would like to be able to get abput a 10x optical zoom if possible. What lenses/adapters would I need to buy to attain this? Thanks in advance!

I think you can improve it to a 7x zoom. Here are some of the accessories. The "system map" pamphlet describes the
TC-DC58N as improving the focal distance by 1.75.

If the zoom is that important, why not go with Olympus?
