So I watched a youtube video of Michael Redd, one of my favorite NBA players. He claims that just by using a specially fitted mouthguard, his endurance has increased. The one he uses is made by this company.

Turns out Manny Ramirez endorses it too. Seems like nonsense to me, though. And, it's like $1,200 minimum, has to be custom fitted.

I does seem like nonsense. But if they can get a mouthpiece to substantially be able to move more air than a regular one then it would make sense and be believable.

If you want to increase air flow and endurance, you don't need a $1200 mouthpiece. You need a $5 box of breathe-right nasal strips.

Try them, they work.

I think this is the same principle as the mouthpieces that help with snoring. Basically just moving your lower jaw slightly forward to allow slightly more air flow. I don't know if either work, but if one does, I would think both would.
