Impressions of the BF 1942 Secret Weapons demo?

Just wanted to get your opinions if you have had the opportunity to play the demo yet, it was released yesterday 164 megs.

Some of the weapons are pretty cool, but it doesn't do much for me.

I prefer Desert Combat.

I have played it about 4 times since friday, I like it a lot. The amphibious vehicles and motorcycles make the map pretty fast paced, and the abundance of tanks makes for some pretty hectic battles around the center point- one team defending and one assulting uphill usually. Jetpack is not really worth grabbing, the Natter is fun(managed to get 14 kills in one run), the goblin seems to be there only to shoot down the Natter. I'm anxious to see how the other new vehicles perform.

I'll give it another whirl in the next couple of days. I need to decide if I want to plunk down 29 bucks for the retail version Sept 4, 2003. DC is where it's at though.

i've been enjoying it. i like DC and i like RTR, but the change is cool. i like the new weapons and vehicles, and i like the map. looking forward to seeing what else comes with the full game. being a bf42 addict i'll be buying SW on the release date.

I'm content with regular BF, EOD, DC, and soon to be FH.

Am I the only person not impressed with the DC Mod? Guess my standards are high. Id much rather toil with RTR.

Have you played DC 0.38?
I spend 90% of my BF time playing DC.
I think it's great.
RTR got boring really fast.

The map, amphibious vehicles, flakpanzer, and new guns are what make it. The actual "secret weapons" are the only downside as they just make it silly. The good thing is they have minimal effect on game play except for all the tardholes wasting their time trying to get them.

For $20 at best buy this week I'm getting it. Some even get it cheaper...check hotdeals.
