My little brother told me about this. I can't figure it out, and I'm not sure if it's possible. Can someone here either solve it or show that it's impossible. Thanks and good luck.

The rules are:
1)You can't cross your own line
2)You can't cross any line segment more than once
3)You must cross all the line segments

impressive... but by line segments are you considering there to be 8 (4 around perimeter and 4 inside) in which case u double crossed most of the outside lines...

or are the segments making up the perimeters of the inside squares each their own segment? (in which case u left out a segment)

ok after careful reconsideration, this puzzle is impossible.

bigd480 is right, but you could easily fix DAM's solution to cross that last segment.

Edit: no wait, what I was thinking would still leave out a line.

i figured you were supposed to cross every segment, segment is a point between two intersections.

i thought a segment was just a line with endpoints; as long as it stays in one direction it's just one segment

i really think he meant the other way, that way the puzzle becomes harder.

There are 9 segments around the outside of this puzzle. The lines in the center of the box divide the perimeter. I'm pretty sure it's impossible.

weird the way we all think we got it, but overlook that one segment :---)

It is impossible because you have an even number of total line segments. There is a famous proof on this somewhere.
