I had a flash Idea that we post a message to the rest of the anandtech community in the forums that went a little like this...

We at the Distributed Computing forum Need your support more then ever these days, we are getting trampled on and have fallen to number 2 in the RC5 project. its easy to join all you have to do is go to www.distributed.net click on downloads and then click on clients, select the one for you operating system and fallow the setup instructions.

AnandTech is the number one review site and we have a vision to be number one in every Project we participate in, including distributed computing. every CPU counts, and no harm is done, if you are reading this thread right now you have all that you need. as a goal once you get into Distributed computing we hope that you talk with your friends about us and get them to join.

REMEMBER: Do Not Install The Client On A computer Without the Owners Permission

if you dont like the idea of RC5 there is also many other distributed computing projects such as: SETI@Home, GammaFlux, and OGR to name a few, also started recently Folding@home

sounds pretty good to me, but you might want to mention some of the other distributed computing projects such as seti. Maybe RC5 just doesn't float their boat but one of the others might. We are a big team here and if we can't get someone to do our favorite project then maybe they will do a different one.

Minor point, when you say "rest of the anandtech community in the forums", please note that the mods only allow us to post recruiting threads in the General and Off-topic forums. They will probably issue a smackdown if it is posted in all of the forums.
