I was asked to record something on my pocket pc. I just got the chance to transfer it onto the computer computer. I open it up in WMP, and it plays about 13 minutes into it, then it gives me an error. The recording is supposed to be almost an hour long, and that's the time it says. Any way to "extract" the rest of it?

I just tried playing it on the pocket pc, and it looks like I can play through only those same 14 minutes :(

That particular error message usually indicates that you are playing a corrupt media file, or a file that Media Player doesn't support or doesn't have a valid codec for.

Microsoft has also posted the following two articles regarding the issue, including a possible fix for the problem (this only applies to Media Player 9):
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;816044
and
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;814129

If you are using Media Player 10, I would have to lean towards the possibility that the audio file is corrupt at the 13-minute mark where it is failing. You MIGHT be able to scroll the slider bar past 13 minutes and continue playing the rest of the file if it is only a problem with a few 'frames' of the file...
