well first of all, I attend a state university.

but i decided to take three courses at a COMMUNITY college over the summer

now... when i return to the university in the fall, do they transfer the GRADE i received at the community college and calculate into the overall GPA OR just if I passed the class or not? Then, it wouldn;t matter what LETTER grade i get in the community college courses as long as I pass with a "C" or better?

can anyone verify this. thanks... i'm going to ask the school tomorrow morning, but i wanted to know if any of you guys knew anything about this..

The credits get transfered as long as your school accepts them. If they do, the grade goes with it.

whew... that makes me feel so much better

if they DIDN't accept the GRADE and don't calculate it into the overall university GPA, i wasted 500+ dollars taking these summer classes

the whole reason i'm taking summer classes at a CC is to bring my overall gpa at the university higher....

Absolutely not true. My University accepted all 32 of my transfer credits but not one of my grades transferred. My GPA was clean when I got to University. Some schools transfer grades, some do not. Call the school and ask.

Same here - got credits and filled requirements, but didn't change GPA (transferred from lib. arts college to state university).

every college i've dealt with does NOT use transferred credits to calculate GPA.
