IMPORTANT question about Soyo 6BA +IV

I have a Soyo 6BA +IV motherboard with a PIII 450 on it, I'm about to buy a PIII 733Mhz, howerver it looks like this motherborad only takes up to 600Mhz, what can I do, what are my options is there any software patches to solve that and where can I get them?
Didn't find much on their site about it.

Thanks!

I am not sure about your p3-733 that your going to get but..
If your 6BA+ IV is new enough to be a PCB "D" or "E" - a PIII 600E~700E would give you the best bang for your buck maybe . Stay away from a PIII EB 133MHz FSB CPU since you need to overclock the MoBo to run them unless you plan on overclocking.------- I would say in terms of bang for the buck the best deal is a Pentium 3 650E, which can easily be overclocked to well over 800 without breaking a sweat.

You can run any PIII non Coppermine with any 6BA+ IV, any 100MHz Coppermine if you have a PCB D or E... using a 133MHz FSB CPU can be done, but it's overclocking the chipset.

well I do thinnk I'll be overclocking, I saw this that I wanted to get:
Pentium® III 733/133 256K ATC,FCPGA S1 RETAIL BOXED for about $240

So you're saying it can take 733Mhz although it says it can take up to 600Mhz?

Also I have the Voodoo5500 AGP is that alright?

Thanks!

Running Soyo +IV with 700E @933 RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX! This with stock cooling, generic ram, velocity 4400 agp, and at stock voltage. Give it a go you will love it.

You should visit the intel web site to see the chart they have on the different versions of the P3's they have avaiable. Many of them have different buss speeds, and are refered to by the different letters, such as E, EB.
