While researching and testing CDRW drives I found out that firmware 1.04 for Plextor 12x10x32 drives (Iomega, TDK, Creative or any other reported rebadged Plextor)allows you to copy "difficult" cds without the use of CloneCD, or blindwrite.
Firmware 1.07 necessitates the use of additional software. The moral of this post is to tell you that the update outlined at roundsparrow.com and other sites will limit and not enhance the performance of your drive. Also, once you flash your drive you cannot go back.
