My impatience almost killed someone.
Havent joined a guild or anything in over six years. Finally jump on one this morning (RIFT), we schedule a noon raid. I'm on time, everybody else is half an hour late. We go to the PvP area, as soon as shit starts my mom calls me.
The neighbors need a healthy young man to change their battery.
5 fucking god damn years, none of our neighbors never need anything. They dont even borrow sugar.
Sure as shit right when I start my first raid in 6 years, they want help.
I swore for about 90 seconds, then went over to help.
PSA: Walmart batteries are shit. Yes they give you a 5 year warranty, but if the god damn thing dies six months then you really arent getting a good bargain. Their return lines are huge on saturdays and they never have enough people. Plus, to return anything toxic, like a battery, you need the fuckin manager to come over and approve it. Have you ever seen a fucking Walmart manager on saturday? That guy looks ready to murder anybody that steps within 6 feet of him.
Oh, and for gods sake, dont lose your receipt. You should keep it for anything expensive but especially batteries. ESPECIALLY if you bounce back and forth between Florida and Virginia and you may be returning it to a different store.
Also, if you drive a Ford Explorer, check your battery connections. They like to mix imperial and metric for some reason. Either that or the last mechanic to change his battery was a psychopath.
In fact, that makes me realize I need to do a thread on this in the Garage forum.
