I am about to purchase a 3000($129) or 3500($245) winnie with a MSI nf4 motherboard. Was wondering if anyone remembers what happened to prices and availabilty during any previous AMD rev updates.
a)How does AMD switch over. Do they stop manufacturing for a few weeks while switching over therefore causing a supply problem causing prices to go up. Or is there enough stock to cover the next few weeks therefore both revs will be in stock.
b)People stop buying current rev therefore causing prices to drop to clear out stock

Would also like to thank Zebo for the memory matrix tests. Since planning on using Monarch combo service, I picked the Corsair value select($106 for 2x512). Was planning on buying some ballistix memory until I read the real world tests. Still having a tough time buying wimpy ram especially for a $1500 system, but a 1-5% performance increase doesn't justify the extra cost for me.
