yes you are correct I read carefully the iMovie desc in the app store

doesnt show up in appstore on my iphone4

It's in the appstore. when you load it go to the initial page and there is a banner on the top that says iOS4 apps. it'll have a listing of all the apps that are iOS4 ready including iMovie.

It shows up on the appstore for me on my iPhone 3GS.
