Immigration Attorney

Can anyone recommend a savvy immigration attorney with considerable experience in this aspect of law? It doesn't matter where they practice in the U.S., as long as they have a proven track record.

This information is needed for a dear friend of mine. Unfortunately, she does not speak English very well and has the technical comprehension of a parakeet sitting on a keyboard.

Of course I've researched locally and on the Internets, but the attorneys I've spoken with come across as sadly inept, are uninterested in the case, or are of the "ambulance chaser" variety.

Thank you in advance to anyone who can help.

We hired an attorney in the Atlanta area for my wife's green card. I could refer you to him, though he's Indian and I'm not sure how the lack of English would work out unless she speaks Hindi.

PM me if you still want a reference.

What exactly are you trying to do here? Get your friend over here? I heard fake marriage is really popular.

My cousin has an extremely busy immigration-only practice. I can give you her info but I'm not sure what 'other' language you are looking for.

It's an extremely complicated and sensitive matter that would require 2,000 words or more to explain. Honestly. And as I'm not directly involved, I would not feel right about airing out the laundry in a public forum. Unfortunately, any type of marriage, even a "fake" one, is not applicable to this situation. :(

RKS, I would very much appreciate your cousin's contact information. Language should not be an issue as there is another family member, as well as me, who can translate whenever necessary.

Could you PM the information to me?

Thanks again.
