I don't understand how that can be. Canada takes in vast amounts of asian/caribbean/european immigrants. Why would they make it more difficult for americans to immigrate? We are much closer culturally than these other groups. Also, we are generally wealthier and more educated than the other immigrant groups.

It would be harder to claim refugee status...though there has been a very large increase of Americans coming into Canada over the past year doing just that.

But he didn't say he was looking for refugee status. He could come in under the NAFTA, if he qualifies. I would suspect that Americans looking to immigrate would have a pretty easy time of it.

If you have certain skills (eg: physician) you're almost a sure in if you're willing to locate in an under serviced area.

hagbard, you have never answered any of my posts that I make in response to you in any thread, but here goes. First off I could care less whether or not he has a problem with a war or not. His willingness(he has stated many times) to flee in the event of a war is the problem. What a fool he and you both are for thinking there could be a draft.
