Saw this today, almost the same as the TDK deal at staples....excpet you have to do some mailing.

Hope someone needs em!</SPAN>

I know someone will ask this question so I'll say it right now. The Imation discs are made by CMC and the TDK's are made by Ritek and Taiyo Yuden.

Has anyone been able to get the online version of this week's Best Buy circular to work? I can't get it to work. PM me if yours works or please make a post in Hot Deals if there are any "hot deals" or "free after rebate" stuff. Thanks.
Edit: n/m --> go to this thread for a link to the BB deals!

thanks for the post. never will have enough cdrs. i have like 400+++ blanks. will probably use them all up in less than 3 weeks.

Hhehehh... that's it?? 😀

cool, i just cashed in on the Kingston Hypermedia at OM for 3 bucks each. however, the imations seem to be a little better quality and i like the way the top layer is designed better. time for another 200 cdRs. thanks for the post and find!

Anyone remember CNET reported a news last year that since the price of CDRs had dropped tremandously many Taiwanese CDRs manufacturers went out of biz and the price of CDRs would be heading back up starting last summer?! I started to stock up since last Spring and now there are more than 2,000 CDRs sitting in my closet. Yeah, in my closet, coz I have nowhere to store those CDRs. Last week I loaded up another 300 TDK CDRs (150 from Staples and 150 from Buy.com). Not sure whether I should get the Imation too since they are just rated as 16x.

P.S. Many of us nowadays treat blank CDRs as a disposable daily use media because the price of blank CDRs is so cheap. But environmentalists will surely bitch us for polluting the Great Earth like this.

I am running low on CDR's but even for $4.99 I shan't be buying these again. I have used all kinds of brands and manufacturers and these were the worst, in fact the only ones that have given me significant problems. Many of them have been unbalanced and thus noisy and have even been scraped to death in the drive because they were so wobbly. And this at only 8/32 speed. Caveat emptor.
