imaging the system with acronis true image

i have a few questions about acronis true image. i have used this software before and was able to create my image in a hidden partition. i am not sure if i did it right. but is there a way to burn the image on to multiple dvd's

What version are you using? v9 can burn images to DVD directly, and I think v8 had this capability as well.

If the image you want to burn is already on your hard drive, then Nero (or any other burning software) should be able to do it. However, it will likely have to be burned as a UDF disc due to the 2GB filesize limit.

Is there a way to create a DVD that you could boot from and apply the image to the computer?

Yes TrueImage can create a bootable DVD and from there you can be able to apply the image to the hard drive.

How much better is Acronis True Image 9.1 Workstation then the latest ghost? I know ghost can also make bootable DVD images.

i think i am using the latest version whcih is v12?

I have used both Ghost and Acronis.
Both work, without a problem.
Acronis is a little more user friendly. But Ghost works better over a network.
