Imaging OS to DVD

I searched and read. I just want to make sure I understand it before I lay down the cash.
I want to image a hdd to use for restoring a machine.
The machine has a DVD RW but no floppy drive.
Is Acronis True Image 8.0 the correct software for doing this?

Yep, that or the latest version of Norton Ghost.

I'm a long-time user of Norton Ghost v7, and after recently switching to Acronis, I can True Image is great.

Acronis is great, Ghost 9 is really just Drive Image 7 since they bought the company and used Drive Image 7 for the foundation of Ghost 9.

I didn't really like Drive Image 7 since it was so bloated. Drive Image 6.0 was great just the way it was, but now I've moved to Acronis True Image 8.0 and it's pretty awesome.
