I am considering buy a SATA drive for my system..my question is, will Norton Ghost Image from a IDE device to a SATA device...I really don't want to reinstall my OS and all of my games and apps. I was considering using Maxblast that Maxtor provides but I was told that Maxblast will not image from IDE to SATA...is that true?

Ghost 2003 is compatiable with mixed IDE and SATA drives.

The are a couple of Command Line Switches that can be used to simplify things.

Mixed IDE and an SATA drive, or only IDE drives:
-FNI
Forces Ghost to use the BIOS to gain access to the IDE drive.

SATA drive and no IDE drives:
-NOIDE
Disables access to IDE devices
