Imagex /capture is painfully slow

I really like the imagex tool and ease of creating Vista images but my capture times are in the hours. Is there any way at all to speed this process up? Thanks.

Where are you writing the image file to?

Either to a network share or to a another hard drive. it doesn't seem to make much difference.

I get about 1GB a minute when I capture images locally.
