First off I'll show you what I currently got:

AOpen AK77 Plus (Raid)
AMD Athlon 1,2 DDR
256 Nanya PC2100 + 128 Apec PC2100
30Gb IBM Deskstar
10Gb Fujitsu
ASUS 40X CD (Not plugged in)
Yamaha 4x4x16
Floppy 1"44 (Disabled)
AOpen BIG Tower 300W.
ZIP-Drive (Not plugged in)
Creative Sound Blaster 1024 Live
Realtek 10/100Mbit Network card (RTL 8139)
Standard Firewire card (2 connectors)

Now to my problem.

I run the computer @ 1200Mhz / 133 .. Boot up windows.. everything's normal.. it boots up.
Now the problem starts.. the inital boot up sound feels like the computer plays it faster than what it actually is. And it doesn't sound good. There are noises...
Then I load up my favorite game, GP500. And I can sometimes drive 10 meters.. but sometimes it crashes immediately. I can't take a screenshot from it.. but I can tell you that it looks like the computer can't keep everything together.. graphic wise. Everything is just CAOS!
I can also play .MP3s and the sound will eventually become noise only and SCREEEEEEEEAMIIIIMMMMINNG noises..

Also if I play DIVX movies.. or MPEG's sometimes the movies gets caos them too. Just a helluva lot of colors .. messy.. most often the color is green. There's no real image.. just SCEREMMAEMEMEMIIINNG noise (sound) and like scrambled TV.

It's the same with any game that I try.. Counter-Strike, Red Faction, Max Payne.. whatever!

Now to what I've tried so far.
I've changed mainboard 5 times.. memory 5 times.. harddrives twice.. Video card 4 times and CPU 2 times.
And I've ran the computer completely EMPTY except for the essential stuff such as M/B, Videocard and Memory and a freshly formatted harddrive. But still the same error.
It doesn't matter if I keep the computer extremely clean from any other software than the standard that comes from the Windows installation.

I've also of course tried changing the box to another one..

I've tried several different BIOS'es..
I've tried Safe Mode BIOS .. Turbo Bios etc etc.
And I've hand tweaked the bios.
I've also tried putting harddrives to PIO only (no DMA that is).
Tried to set everything on SLOW SLOW SLOW.. but nothing helps.

The only thing that keeps it a little bit more stable is if I pull it down to 900 Mhz / 100Mhz Bus. Then I can play games and all. But the system will crash eventually anyway.

I'm out of ideas!! PLEASE GOD help me!!!! What can it be? There are NO visual conflicts from the System Properties or anywhere!

We need more details.

What video card? What drivers?
What OS?
If not WinXP, then Via 4in1's installed?
OS updated properly?
Low level format in case you have an MBR virus...

Fill us in so we can help.

I got Windows XP Pro.
Elsa Gladiac 32Mb...12.44 Drivers I think.
I've run Windows Update.
I don't have the VIA 4-in-1 drivers.

OS is installed correctly.

MBR virus? Well.. thing is that I have changed HDD several times.. no difference!
But incase it IS a MBR virus.. How could it make this kind of damage?

Ok, it looks like you have all your bases covered Swedie. An MBR virus would cause this because the virus resides in the MBR section of your HDD and even if you do a format on it, the MBR remains untouched unless you do a low level format, one that writes a zero to every bit on the HDDs platters.

One other thing I noticed is that your PSU has not been addressed yet. If you have a flaky PSU you could experience the symptoms you are having. Can you try swapping out your PSU?

Okay.. tomorrow I'll try with a brand new harddrive.

I've BTW tried with other cases / Powersupplies. No difference. 🙁
