It has no effect on AT service and only Firefox users that install the Text to Image.xpi will see the Image signatures.

This kind of of censorship is really unnecessary.

Our software can be set to allow images. However, the decision not to allow them is Anand's, and our software is set not to allow them because they cause problems on forums as large as ours.

They slow the forums. This is not just a function of our own servers. They also place an extreme load on the resources of any other external server hosting a linked image because each time a member clicks into a thread, the external server has to provide the image information. Any slow external server hosting will slow loading of threads, and it is not fair to small external hosts to impose the load of our large forums on them.

You have no right to override Anand's decision by using or providing software to circumvent the settings of our forum software. If you want to participate on our forums, please do so under our rules and in compliance with our software settings. If you want to use graphics in your posts or your sig file, or you cannot enjoy yourself without them, you should find forms that allow this.

Uh...they don't allow images because no one wants to be annoyed by the huge pos images people put in their sigs. In addition to that, some users are still on dial-up and waiting an hour for a thread to load is unacceptable. One of the things I love about this forum is that it's clean and not full of God damn colors and animations.

There not force images though so people like you and people on dialup would not see them. Only people who use Firefox and the proper extension would see them.
