I'm curious, why did you choose gallery over coppermine?

I couldn't get the coppermine to work.
every time i'd upload a photo it would say the photo uploaded but then when i went to put the photo in a gallery, it said it couldn't do it.

maybe i am doing something wrong. i got the gallery software to work fine the 1st time i tried it.

i was just going around the house looking for stuff to take pictures of. mostly to just play with the camera.

I ran into that problem too. For me it was caused by the ImageMagick resizer. Basically I fixed it by going into config->Files and thumbnails advanced settings->Method for resizing images; change it from imagemagick to GDversion2.x. Then just do a batch upload of your pics using ftp, I used smart-ftp(free) and it should work.

I'm not sure if this is it or not but it's worth a shot. After you install Coppermine you need to login and ceate an album first then begin uploading pics. Did you create a new album before attempting to upload pics?

yes. i clicked album, then did new, then named the album. then tried to upload. unless thats wrong?

i'll try to install it again and see what i can do.
wow, its extremely slow today.

will be uploading some more pics i just took.

well, just installed coppermine again and it seems to be working now. i changed it from imagemagick to gdsomething 2.x like osmeone else suggested.
