hi. I want to take an image (I say image because I could save it in many forms, which form would be best?) and grid off two inch by two inch sections that would then be saved seperately by number that corresponds to their original spot in the Grid. Hope this makes sense. Should be easy to do, but I know nothing about photo manipulation programs. My next question is what image program would work best for this application? I have Gimp for windows installed on my laptop right now, so that would be cool to do it with that or I could go the university library with has Adobe Photoshop, etc.

Should be easy enough, but def. no conveinent way to do this that I knwo of, aside from manually selecting each 2x2 block, copy, paste as new image...

Have fun :)

I like Jasc Paint Shop Pro, but ANY (even paintbrush) shoudl be able to EASILY do what you want...

What format you save to depends on what you want to use if for and what quality / size you need... web pages need JPG or GIF, other BMP is probably best....

Why exactly do you need to do this anyway?
