Image editing question

I need to edit about 1500 pics down from 1600/1200 to 800/600. Is there a quick way I can do mass resizing without having to set the size to each pic individually? I have photoshop 7 and ADCSee 3.2. I haven't really found anything withing these programs though for doing multiple pics at once. They are all JPEG. Any help would be appreciated. Thank.

photoshop has a bulk option.

go to actions and create a new action that resizes the image. then there is an option called "Automate" where you can bulk modify images in a folder using a specified action.

p.s. wrong forum.

PM me if you have any issues, i haven't subscribed to this thread and i get the feeling it'll either get moved or locked and i'll lose track of it!

There are also, some actions/macros you can download that can automate the process as well. Some Photoshop utilities (3rd party) will let you do things to an aggregate bunch of files sometimes.

Try: Adobe Studio Exchange

I know there are some freeware tools for batch resizing too... might try searching ZDnet or download.com.

Word. I've done this with Photoshop before.

Is there an app. out there that does this aside from photoshop -
1. automated resolution change ... for example change 180ppi to 260ppi.
2. automated picture touch up ...

It seems like photoshop elements can do #1, but it's only restricted to a set # of choices in terms of resolution; and #2 can be accomplish with Adobe Album 2 but I couldn'[t find a program out there that does both ...
