image.dll problem

Someone plese help me out.

Heres the problem:
When I start windows, it gets to the 'loading your personal settings' message, then does nothing for like 5 minutes. then, it loads as normal. It started doing this right after a virus scan. Avast found a few viruses and deleted them, and I think it deleted my image. dll file, because i got ' error loading C:\WINDOWS\......image.dll a couple times. I removed image.dll from the registry, as someone told me this was a spyware file, and it quit with the message, but didnt fix the problem. Now I know what image.dll is, but what do i do?

thanks,
Pat

oh, my machine:

AMD Athlon 1800+, XP home (SP1). I have run Spybot SD and Hijackthis, neither found anything. Avast also didnt find anything.

I took a look at Google, and found that most people use a program called CWShredder to remove that trojan/spyqare.

Although, I think it may just put an entry in HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion|Run.

See if "rundll32 c:\Windows\image.dll,install" is there.
