The machine has 2g in it right now.. I am going to pull one of the 1g chips and replace it with a 2g.

Simple? Annoying? Which?

Should be easy. IIRC, the RAM slots are located in the bottom of the system, so when you are looking at the screen, that is the front. 2 screws hold the RAM door in place. Pull one of the chips, put in the 2GB SO-DIMM, and you are golden.

You should need DDR2-667 SO-DIMM PC5300.

good to hear. Notice any improvement over 2GB? Or is it really only useful when you are running lots (LOTS!!!) of apps?

I will find out this weekend.

I "multibox" World of Warcraft. I know the machine can get five copies running at once, it just wasn't viable at 1g. With properly paired down sessions I plan on keeping three active at all times.

Basically only the lead character's session is open. All others are minimized or hidden by the full screen main, running in window mode is a pain as you cannot get back some of the keys the OS steals (including mouse keys) even after getting the 1.2 keyboard patch.

Its like playing Wizardry all over again, and yeah I played that when it came out on the Apple (even had the PC version which supported an ASCII hallway/room display!)
