imac Model A1224 Not connecting to the net

Hey guys, I just reinstalled Snow Leopard on this 2008 imac but it's not connecting to the net either wired or wireless. It shows as connected to the wireless network but Safari is not going to the net. I have tried Sys Prefe>Network Prefs>Assist Me>Diagnostics to check the connection but it did not show any errors except "cannot establish a net connection". Safari shows "cannot find a PPOe server", help please?

Oh, no other issues with any of the other pc's here either with wired or wireless connection, issue described is only with this imac.

If you have a PPPOe button in the list on the main

System Preferences > Networks ... panel, click the Minus sign [-] to delete it.
