Hello there everyone, wanted to get some help because I have been tasked to work out an iMac Kiosk Image. I have done a lot of research online and so far I only found one good working guide. I am not a Mac person, don’t use them a lot but if you guys can share some thoughts on this topic and share some info with, it would be really appreciated. Doing this in Windows is easier especially 8.1, but I never worked on a Mac and Kiosk before, so any help would be useful.

Current OS 10.7.5

I'm confused, what are you trying to accomplish?

Have a Mac that is running in Kiosk Mode for Customer Service Center, Lock it down as much as possible and only run Browser

You can probably use a combination of Guest Accounts and Parental Controls, but honestly I'm not so sure that it supports what you are looking for.

But you can make it so that the system can't be destructively changed, and they can't get access to anything. Then, once it reboots, everything in the Guest Account is set back to zero.

It would probably be easier to install Windows 7 on it through Boot Camp and go about building a kiosk image that way. It's fairly easy to force Windows to launch a locked down web browser instead of explorer with some well documented registry hacks.
