Imac alternatives

I really like the clean elegant style of the 20" Imac. I want to de-clutter my desk and the idea of just a power cable really appeals to me (imac with wireless keyboard and mouse)

What doesn't appeal to me is the Apple price tag and OSx.

Is there anything equivalent in the PC world? (Small, sleek, quiet, very few wires)

Thanks

If you can stand a single monitor cable, the Shuttle XPC100 from us.shuttle.com is small and sleek. Dell also makes some very small towers / dsktops with laptop parts.

bump...still considering.

I already have a 20 Dell LCD...The XPC100 is expensive...
Another requirement is it has to be very very quiet

srry. forgot this thread. couldn't find that thing. but just so you know, the iMac isn't expensive for what you get. also, according to SilentPCPreview, it's very very efficient (power usage is really low) and is very very quiet. you can put windows xp on it or run parrelels.

What about a Mac Mini?

What doesn't attract you to OSX?

Have you ever tried it and by trying it I mean actually using it.

That HP thing is anything but elegant :)

My wife has a macbook so yes I have tried it. I guess it is probably more of a education thing but I just don't like house apple does things. I probably just need to use it more.

I'll probably end up with the IMAC. It is everything i'm looking for.
