I'm wondering how many people use "MSN Explorer" software?

I've encountered one person who uses it.

It's backup/restore feature works really well (sarcasm). Well, the backup feature does, the restore feature isn't where the help guides say it's supposed to be, so in the end copying the data folder from the old to the new location sorted that.

Never tried it. Judging by what you've said, I guess that's a good thing. I remember it having an icon of a butterfly with MSN colors or something.

You have to pay for it these days apparently. IMO, it looks like the AOL software in most respects. Yep, butterfly icon.

I also 'liked' the way that the devs felt inclined to make the data folder inside the user's appdata msn folder super-hidden (attrib +S +H). Yeah, it's so top secret and so likely that a blundering user is going to screw around with it when they shouldn't.
