I'm way late, but I finally saw an Iphone in person

And WOW..that thing is kick-ass! A guy at work had one. He said he sold his first one on ebay for 1700, some people are dumb as hell..and they didn't even get the rebate! Anyway, I am interested in seeing knockoff's that will surely be appearing. It said it has wifi but he had to signup for unlimited internet. What's the point of the wifi if you have unlimited internet?

Because if you are in an area where Wifi is available, it is MUCH faster.

it's a cool toy, but don't see the practicality of it. Maybe if it had 80GB of flash space so I could actually tote around movies and tv shows where ever I go.

I'm still waiting for a simple slim cheap phone. Something along the lines of a krazr, but not motorola, thinner, and more durable. And that I can EASILY sync my calendar/contacts/lists on my computer (whether it be mac or PC) with preferably ical, google, or outlook. not bitpim.

to me the practicality is all about having internet access anywhere you go in a very small package.
