On Super Bowl Sunday my parents came back from thier friends place and both Husband and Wife were extremely ill. On around Monday, my dad fell extremely along with another fellow who was there. He was vomitting and had the craps.

Well Last night half way through working out at the gym, I suddenly felt weird and exhausted.

In about an hour time span since I got home, I fell extremely ill.

- My stomach is in excrutiating pain. I literally am about to cry.
- Im not nausious but I was drinking lots of fluids and they sat in my stomach causing ungodly pain so i have to manually Ralph.
- Ive been praying to the Porciline God since last night and havent slept yet. Im extremely tired and my whole body aches.

Is there anything I can take to make myself feel better as I cant take this stomach pain much longer. Ive had food poisening before and this is worse. Im trying to sip down cranberry juice but its all the same and sits there in my stomach

Stomach pain like that is not normal for the flu.

Well my dad felt the same way and is better now.

My Stomach basically feels fine when nothing is in it, but when fluids are drank, it feels like lead weights. No matter what way I lay, I have this agonizing pain like something wants out

Better to be safe than sorry no? If the pain persists, definitely go to the ER to get checked out.

That's not influenza. Sounds like classic Norwalk virus. Call your doctor and ask if you should be seen.

If he/she says you don't need to be seen, stick to clear fluids until you can hold something down.

I've had Norovirus. I can honestly say that the stomach pain is excruciating (and I've been through unmedicated childbirth twice, so I know what stomach pain is.)

It is entirely possible to become so dehydrated from gastroenteritis that you need to have IV fluids to avoid serious problems, so call your doctor to find out what you should do (to the OP.)

I agree. It hits so hard so fast. The cramps were unbelievable.

Before water try clear broths, and warm flat ginger ale.

The drug store has stuff called Emetrol or cola syrup, it can help with the vomiting.
