What the hell?! I've got 512MB and CW is using 454MB and possibly more. I was playing and I got some pausing in game a few times and thought, "let me check my memory usage." I thought I had plenty with 512MB but I guess I'm going to have to go for 1 or 2GB!! :Q What the hell?!

Christ! And they say that more than 512MB of memory are more for people that do video of photoshop editing! How much does WW2 use? I think I'm going to have to go get 4 x 512MB sticks. :| Well at least 4 x 256MB sticks. ;)

Dude, I only had MusicMatchJukebox, Norton Anti-Virus, NetPerSec (bandwidth monitor) and Moathboard Monitor running. Before the game is launched I'm using ~126MB, but during game play I'm using 450-470+MB!! I'm using Windows 2000 Pro by the way.

Hey, its better then Operation Flashpoint.

It asked for 256 megs of dedicated RAM so I gave it that. Then when it kept crashing to the desktop I discovered it also wanted a 350 meg swap file

The program taking the memory doesn't mean it actually uses it, or needs it to run. Maybe it's just very greedy so that there's always enough left for it in case it does need lots. The test starts up fairly quickly, so I doubt the amount of stuff loaded is really enormous.

I am running 256 ddr, waiting for my other 256 to come in. And rtcw takes up 360 mb of ram, and that is with almost nothing in the background.

Sacrifice "only" uses about 220 on my machine. Max Payne is another game that takes about the same amount as rtcw.
