I'm trying to test what Lifemapper thrives on...

And I think I've discovered that it's memory timings. My system at 2500+, 512MB PC2700 DDR 2-2-2-11 (actually PC3200 2-3-3-11) process' WUs as fast as 3200+, 512MB PC3200 2-3-3-11! I wish I had better memory to test at PC3200 speeds because I can't get this crappy OCZ memory above stock settings at all no matter the voltage. 🙁

hmm....

this really makes me want to buy a stick of Kingston HyperX PC4000 on sale at Best Buy this week. It's rated to run 3-4-4-8 @ 250mhz on 2.6v, so I'm thinking at 200mhz, it would run lower timings.

Keep in mind that these are average numbers since I don't know how to get it to process one WU over again.

Nice find Por. I guess more and more DCs these days are more dependent on RAM speed and timings than on brute CPU power. Same goes for DPAD.

So where can I get some quality OCing ram without having to sell a piece of my liver? The forums are even getting rediculous.

Read what kyparrish stated above about the Kingston HyperX. You could easily downclock it to PC3200 speeds with tight timings. And even if you can't do that at stock voltage HyperX modules are excellent overclockers.
